Living Blues magazine has announced the nominees for the 2019 Living Blues Readers’ Awards. Alligator president Bruce Iglauer and co-author Patrick A. Roberts received a nomination for their book, Bitten By The Blues: The Alligator Records Story.
Others nominated are Shake Your Hips: The Excello Records Story, by Randy Fox (BMG Books), Charley Patton: Voice of the Mississippi Delta, edited by Robert Sacré (University Press of Mississippi), Blues With a Twist, by Twist Turner (self-published), A&R Pioneers: Architects of American Roots Music on Record, by Brian Ward and Patrick Huber (Vanderbilt University Press).
The public, Living Blues subscribers and non-subscribers alike, can vote at www.livingblues.com by July 15, 2019. Winners will be announced in August.
